Drinking the World Cup | Spain vs. Netherlands


How else to support the Spanish team with either a Spanish gin and tonic or a glass of Sherry, perhaps a delightful fino or manzanilla paired with some olives and some almonds.

On the Dutch side, it has to be something with genever or jenever. How about the Dutch Punch from bartender Jackson Cannon of Eastern Standard in Boston, with 1 oz. Bols Genever, 1 oz. Aperol, 1 oz. fresh grapefruit juice, 1 dash Regan's orange bitters and an orange twist for garnish. Damn that sounds like a killer cocktail.
